Wildlife trade is a complex and interesting global issue which raises many social and conservation related questions.

For my first postdoc, I worked at the Natural History Museum in Helsinki in the Helsinki Lab of Ornithology as part of a project that explores how the potential ecological impacts of wildlife trade have changed over time. We used multiple open access  datasets to explore this question and the results of this study should be out by the end of 2025!
